cycling matters

Ed and Martin, our top team! They try to do the Grand Tours and Classics together to get the stories written and the driving done at the same time.

Ed has been involved in cycling for over 40 years, and in that time he's been a successful time triallist, team manager and sponsor, and respected and successful coach. Throughout that time, Ed has remained a massive fan and is hugely knowledgeable. He's a great writer, coupling his extensive contacts in the sport with an inexhaustable enthusiasm for the minutiae. Ed also contributes to other publications, including Cyclist Monthly, Cycling Weekly, and PezCyclingNews.com.

Martin is our Webmaster and Editor. Like Ed, he's been involved in cycling for a long time - over 34 years, and has had a varied career from time trials, to road and track racing. Martin has been the Scottish 25 Mile TT and 100 Mile TT Champion, the British Points Race League Champion on the track, and he was a prolific winner of time trials, particularly hilly ones, like the Trossachs & the Meldons. He nowadays fits developing, managing and contributing to this site and to other publications such as PezCyclingNews.com, with competing regularly in triathlons and coaching at a local swimming club.

Here at VeloVeritas…

...we reckon cycling matters. We aim to provide our readers with truthful, interesting and unique articles about the sport we love.

We cover all aspects of cycling by actually being there, in the mix: from the local "10" to the famous WorldTour "monuments" - classics like Milan-SanRemo and the Tour of Lombardy, the World Championships, the winter Six Days, and of course the Grand Tours.

We attend many local races as well as work on the professional circuit - and we do it all with a Scottish accent.
